Atrium house

The atrium house with its distinct longitudinal shape completes the building development of the village and marks a direct transition to the adjacent nature reserve. Under the gable roof, all functions are lined up: storage, carport, ward-robe, sauna, atrium and the actual house itself. Wet room and installations room are situated in the northern part of the building, in a massive nucleus.

Prefabricated walls of exposed concrete hold up the roof, the wooden house was constructed underneath it. A special feature of the house is the central atrium: This multi-purpose room can be used for many things: to repair the motorcycle, as playroom for kids, to celebrate, to hang laundry, as a quiet room for the sauna and a winter room for plants. A room always a bit ‘untidy’, but drawn from life.
